Bolingbrook Michaels Store to Close in October

Michaels, the popular arts and crafts store on Bolingbrook's west side, has announced it will close its Bolingbrook location within the next month.

The store in is located 119 S. Weber Rd. in the Country Aire Plaza and is scheduled to close on Oct. 22.

It was not immediately known why Michaels was closing that location.

“Michaels has enjoyed serving our loyal Bolingbrook customers and thanks them for their patronage and will continue to seek out opportunities for the Bolingbrook store employees throughout our other stores," said Gail Johnson, a district manager with the company. "Michaels continues to serve our customers with four stores located within 10 miles of Bolingbrook.” 

Michaels also has locations in ,  and Willowbrook. 

Michaels is the third big box retailer to leave the village's west side in the last year. this year.
