Police Blotter: 14-Year-Old Attacked While Walking

Bolingbrook police reports, Nov. 14-16.

Wednesday, Nov. 16

1. DUI

Kelsey Nonneman, 24, of the 500 block of Emerson Circle, was charged with DUI and resisting a peace officer following a traffic stop at 2 a.m.

2. Warrant

Sharron Nelson, 56, of the 200 block of South Palmer Drive, was charged with an in-state warrant and driving on a suspended license following a traffic stop on the 200 block of South Bolingbrook Drive at 12:22 p.m.

3. Gunshots reported

Police were called to the area of Blackhawk Lane and Denver Drive for the report of residents hearing several gunshots between 12:50 a.m. and 1:03 a.m. Officers checked the area with negative results.

4. 14-year-old attacked

A 14-year-old was approached by unknown subjects while walking home along the 200 block of South Orchard Drive. The subjects grabbed the victim’s cell phone and fled the area at 2:05 p.m. Loss valued at $300.

5. Residential burglary

Police were called to the 200 block of Haldleigh Drive for the report of a burglary. A homeowner told police they returned home at 1:30 p.m. and found a broken rear window. A computer and iPod were taken between 11:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. Loss valued at $1,300.

6. Residential burglary

Police were called to the 100 block of Enclave Circle for the report of a residential burglary. A homeowner told police they heard a noise in the garage and after investigating, found an unknown offender had taken two mountain bikes at 7 p.m. Loss valued at $1,000.

Tuesday, Nov. 15

7. Theft

Police were called to Walmart, at 200 S. Bolingbrook Dr., for the report of a theft. A victim told police they left their wallet at the register and exited the store at 6:15 p.m. An unknown female subject took the wallet and exited the store and drove off.

8. Resisting a peace officer

Tevin Rainey, 18, of the 100 block of Christine Way, was charged with resisting a peace officer on the 100 block of Christine Way at 3:12 p.m.

Monday, Nov. 14

9. Retail theft

Bryan Wells, 36, of the 400 block of Tallman Avenue in Romeoville, was charged with retail theft at Meijer, located at 225 N. Weber Rd., at 6:59 p.m. Police say he left the store without paying for several clothing and food items.

10. Broken business window

A window to a business on the 100 block of South Bolingbrook Drive was broken at 4:42 a.m.
