Police Blotter: Burglars Distract Homeowner Before Stealing $6k Worth of Jewelry
Bolingbrook police reports, Aug. 17.

1. Residential burglary
Police were called to the 600 block of Tall Grass Drive for the report of a residential burglary. The homeowner told police that unknown subjects distracted them in the backyard while another subject entered the home, rummaged through a bedroom and took several pieces of jewelry and money at 3:30 p.m. All in all, loss valued at $6,000.

2. Car windows broken out at the BRAC
Two cars parked at the Bolingbrook Recreation and Aquatic Center at 200 S. Lindsey Ln., had their side windows broken out. A purse, bag of toys, IPass and several credit cards were taken between 11:45 a.m. and 1 p.m.

3. Weapons stolen from home
Police were called to the 200 block of Falconridge Way for the report of a residential burglary. The homeowner told police that two bows, two handguns, a rifle a watch and a pair of binoculars were taken sometime between July 17 and Aug. 17. Loss valued at $5,100.
