Police Blotter: Home Burglar Leaves Behind Muddy Footprints

Tuesday, Dec. 13

1. Residential burglary

Police were called to the 200 block of Kenilworth Drive for the report of a residential burglary. A window screen was removed and a laptop was taken between 5:30 p.m. and 7:36 p.m. Loss valued at $1,000.

2. Warrant

Shane Hannan, 38, of the 400 block of Laurel Avenue in Romeoville, was charged with an in-state warrant following a traffic stop on the 300 block of Woodcreek Drive at 9:31 a.m.

3. Residential burglary

Police responded to the 300 block of Woodcreek Drive for the report of a residential burglary. A homeowner told police that they found a window open, muddy footprints throughout the apartment and rooms rummaged through. A laptop, digital camera, men’s watches, purse and a wallet were taken between 6 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. Loss valued at $800.

Monday, Dec. 12

4. Warrant

Kelli Campbell, 42, of the 1900 block of Stanford Drive in Naperville, was charged with an in-state warrant on the 300 block of West Briarcliff Road at 5:46 p.m.

5. DUI

Wesley Pearson, 45, of the 4700 block of Chokeberry Drive in Naperville, was charged with DUI and improper lane usage following a traffic stop at the intersection of Lily Cache Lane and Fernwood Drive at 12:18 a.m.

6. Storage container stole

A trailer storage container was removed from a lot on the 1200 block of West Remington Boulevard between Nov. 23 and Dec. 12.

7. GPS stolen

A Tom-Tom GPS unit was taken from a car parked on the 200 block of South Bolingbrook Drive. Loss valued at $190.

8. Littering

Terrell McFarland, 29, of the 200 block of Prairie Circle, was charged with littering on the 400 block of West Boughton Road at 1:08 p.m.

9. Retail theft

Ralph Bell, 58, of the 200 block of West Brook Circle in Naperville, was charged with retail theft at Meijer, located at 225 North Weber Road, at 5:37 p.m.

10. Stolen trailer

A 2011 Harvester Trailer was taken from a lot on the 1200 block of West Remington Boulevard between Dec. 10 and Dec. 12.
