Police: Guns, Bows Reported Stolen From Suicidal Man's Home
Bolingbrook police arrested a man from the 200 block of Falconridge Way without incident Wednesday. Guns and other items were reported stolen from the same home one week prior.

The guns police thought were in the home of the were allegedly stolen sometime between July 17 and Aug. 17, police said.
police arrested the man, whose name is not being released, Wednesday on the 200 block of Falconridge Way after authorities received a phone call from his sister saying she had received word her brother was suicidal.
After officers arrived on scene, the man would not communicate with police and the Bolingbrook R.E.A.C.T. Team—its special response unit—entered the home took the man into custody without incident after a five-hour standoff.

Police were unable to enter the home right away because of intelligence that suggested there may have been guns in the home.
But those guns, according to Bolingbrook's weekly police blotter, were stolen the week before.

Police were called to the 200 block of Falconridge Way on Aug. 17 for the report of a residential burglary, where a homeowner told police that two bows, two handguns, a rifle, a watch and a pair of binoculars—all in all were valued at $5,100—were taken from the home.
Bolingbrook Lieutenant Mike Rompa said both incidents happened in the same home but had different victims.
Both events remain under investigation, Rompa said.
