Section Of Schmidt Road Closed For ComEd Work: Village

BOLINGBROOK, IL — A section of Schmidt Road is closed Wednesday to accommodate work by ComEd, village officials said.

The busy thoroughfare just south of Boughton Road closed at 9 a.m. and is expected to reopen at about 1 p.m. During that time, ComEd crews are installing new overhead wires near the intersection.

A detour route is in place to direct drivers around the construction area.
