She is our Media Center Specialist

Why do you believe the teacher should be recognized or honored?

Christie has created such a warm and fun media center for the students at Liberty. Book genres are color coded. Books are easy to find, and the library area is so welcoming that students don’t want to leave. She also does Makerspace with the students. Each week my class meets with her, and they do a fun hands-on activity with her.

What's one thing you want everyone to know about the teacher?

Mrs. Milen puts her heart and soul into her job! She has continually cleaned up the media center to make it such a kid friendly place. She runs an awesome Book Fair twice a year and gives all that money right back to the students. If there’s a new tech gadget out there, she buys it or teaches it to the students. She is also amazing to the staff at our school. She is our technology expert and is constantly showing us new tech to use in our classrooms! She is beyond amazing!!!
