Teen Shot, Wounded in Bolingbrook

Bolingbrook police are continuing to investigate the Sunday shooting of a 16-year-old boy in the 100 block of West Boughton Road.

Officers responded at 5:39 p.m. to the 100 block of Somerset Lane where they found the teen with a gunshot wound to the neck area, police said.

The victim said the shooting occurred behind a Boughton Road business.

Emergency responders provided medical treatment and the teen was taken to Good Samaritan Hospital in Downers Grove.

Police said while the teen’s injuries are serious, “they do not appear life threatening.”
