Thunderstorms Could Threaten Jubilee Fun

The National Weather Service predicts a 70 percent chance of storms this afternoon.

Showers and thunderstorms could hamper family fun at the Bolingbrook Jubilee today as the National Weather Service is predicting a 70 percent chance of rain this afternoon.

According to the NWS forecast, showers and thunderstorms are likely, mainly after 1 p.m., with mostly cloudy skies and a high near 82. 

Tonight, a 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms before 1 a.m. exists, with a low around 62 degrees.

The Jubilee, which began Friday, is set to open at noon and be open until 11 p.m.

Tomorrow's forecast looks more promising. According to the NWS, skies are expected to be mostly sunny, with a high near 80. Sunday evening's forecast appears mostly clear, with a low around 59.

The Jubilee is open from noon to 10 p.m.
