Non-compliance in Bolingbrook will be considered an ordinance violation, Drey said.

Kraft bags will be available at several local retailers. Drey said Groot is finalizing the list of locations.

There will still be pick up of stray tree branches and limbs that fall due to severe weather, Drey said.

“The village always picks that up as long as residents bring it to the parkway,” he said.

The ordinance goes into effect April 1.
