2 Arrested In Connection With Recent Home Burglary Spree: Lake County Sheriff

The residential burglaries occurred in unincorporated Lake County, Lincolnshire, and Highland Park.

LAKE COUNTY, IL — Crediting a multi-agency effort, the Lake County Sheriff's Office announced two arrests have been made in connection with a recent residential burglary spree. The burglaries —which occurred in late November and early December — took place in unincorporated Lake County, Lincolnshire, and Highland Park.

Matthew Ristick, 18, of the 6200 block of Diversey Avenue, Chicago, is accused of four felony counts of residential burglary; and Kevin Miller, 26, of the 6000 block of Goebbert Road, Arlington Heights, is accused of one felony count of residential burglary. The two were taken into custody last Thursday. The Lake County State's Attorney's Office approved the charges.

According to police, residences in unincorporated Libertyville, unincorporated Gurnee, and Lincolnshire were burglarized on Nov. 30. A residence in Highland Park was burglarized on Dec. 3.

Members of the Lincolnshire Police Department, Highland Park Police Department, Lake County Sheriff’s Office, and the North Regional Major Crimes Task Force reviewed surveillance video and other evidence, developing leads indicating Ristick and Miller were responsible for the burglaries. NORTAF and area detectives continue to investigate, and additional charges are possible.
