80-Year-Old Woman Struck By Car: Buffalo Grove Police
The woman was in critical condition, police said.
BUFFALO GROVE, IL — An 80-year-old woman was in critical condition after police said she was struck by a car late Friday morning in Buffalo Grove.
Police responded to the crash involving a vehicle and a pedestrian at 11:55 a.m. in the eastbound traffic lanes of Dundee Road at Lake Boulevard, and rendered aid to the 80-year-old pedestrian.
Police said the woman, from Wheeling, was taken by ambulance in critical condition to Lutheran General Hospital.

The driver of the vehicle was not injured and is cooperating, according to police.
As of 3 p.m. Friday, Dundee Road remained shut down between Buffalo Grove Road and Lake Boulevard as the crash investigation continued with members of the Buffalo Grove Police Department’s traffic unit with assistance from the Lake County Major Crash Assistance Team.

Police said the cause of the crash has yet to be determined, and the investigation remains ongoing, with no citations or charges issued at this time.
