Aptakisic Road Construction Project Continues In Buffalo Grove: LCDOT
The Lake County Department of Transportation said a new traffic pattern will begin this week.

BUFFALO GROVE, IL — Work continues on Aptakisic Road from Illinois 83 to Buffalo Grove Road. As part of the project, which will eventually expand the road to five lanes, gaps in the bike path and sidewalk are being filled, according to the Lake County Department of Transportation.
The LCDOT said paving the center lane was recently finished. A new traffic pattern is slated to begin this week, weather permitting. Eastbound traffic will now move to the newly finished center lanes.
The project, which is part of $88 million in Lake County improvement plans, will improve a road that sees an estimated 20,000 vehicles a day.

The LCDOT said work will also soon start on grading behind the curb, placing materials for the path on the north side of Aptakisic Road and pouring handholes for the new traffic signals.
Motorists are being urged to drive carefully, be aware of daily lane closures, flaggers working, and of trucks entering and exiting the job site. Motorists should expect delays throughout this project. Learn more.
