COVID-19 Testing In Buffalo Grove Area: Where To Find A Test

With cases on the rise amid the omicron wave, here's where to get tested for COVID-19 in the Buffalo Grove area.

BUFFALO GROVE, IL — With holiday gatherings and the emerging omicron surge of coronavirus combining to send demand for tests skyrocketing past supplies, an increasing number of North Shore residents have been seeking COVID-19 testing but have found it unavailable or difficult to obtain.

COVID-19 test positivity in Lake County rose to 5.7 percent, with nearly 60,000 tests performed in the county, during the week ending Dec. 18, the most recent data available from the Illinois Department of Public Health.

According to the Lake County Health Department, there were 490 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 on Dec. 20, the most recent day where data is available. That's the highest number of infections since November 2020. At least 17 people had died from COVID-19 so far, and the rolling average number of daily deaths in the county stood at zero on Dec. 22, the most recent day where data is available.
