Information Meeting Planned For Buffalo Grove Road Project Study
The Lake County Division of Transportation is hosting the meeting on May 24 in Buffalo Grove.

BUFFALO GROVE, IL — The Lake County Division of Transportation is hoping to hear from residents regarding a proposed Buffalo Grove Road project study. The LCDOT is currently conducting a Phase 1 study to widen the road to provide two lanes of travel in each direction.
While the center median will remain in place, the project is also investigating filling in non-motorized travel gaps by adding a bike path or sidewalk where appropriate in conjunction with the Villages of Vernon Hills and Buffalo Grove.
The meeting is planned for 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. May 24, at the Vernon Township Community Services Building, 2900 N Main St., Buffalo Grove. At the meeting, officials said the preferred alternative and project impacts will be shown to the public for comments and questions. Construction is currently planned for 2026, but will depend on property acquisition and project readiness.
