Local Candidates Kick Off Campaigns In Buffalo Grove
Who is running for village board in Buffalo Grove?

BUFFALO GROVE, IL — As the year quickly comes to a close, the next election cycle is in full swing with a number of local candidates submitting their petitions to appear on the April 6, 2021 ballot. The Consolidated Election will include races for several school boards and village board in Buffalo Grove.
Among the uncontested races are Buffalo Grove Park District, Aptakisic-Tripp Elementary School District 102 and Kildeer Countryside School District 96.
The first day for filing petitions was Dec. 14 with things concluding at 5 p.m. Monday for those interested. Write-in candidates can still file through Feb. 4

BUFFALO GROVE VILLAGE BOARD
Three four-year seats on the Buffalo Grove Village Board are up for grabs on Election Day. Current trustees Andrew Stein, Joanne Johnson and Les Ottenheimer will look to retain their seats. They will be challenged by Mike Terson, a former village trustee and current superintendent of communications for the Buffalo Grove Park District, and Gowri Magati.

According to Village Clerk Janet Sirabian, Stein, Johnson, Ottenheimer and Terson filed simultaneously and will be in a lottery for ballot placement.
