'Major' Gas Line Break Closes Road In Buffalo Grove: Village

Village officials said repairs of the gas line Thursday are expected to take at least eight hours.

BUFFALO GROVE, IL — A "major" gas line break has shut down Arlington Heights Road in both directions Thursday as crews work to repair it. The Village of Buffalo Grove sent out a traffic alert at around 11:15 a.m. stating the road is closed in both directions between Checker Drive and Lake Cook Road.

Motorists are being asked to avoid the area and use alternate routes. Repairs are expected to take at least eight hours, according to the alert.
