• Metra Negotiating To Beef Up North Central Service (journal-topics.com) — Buffalo Grove commuters could see more Metra trains on the North Central Service as early as next year, with officials negotiating added trips after pandemic-era cuts. The line, which serves Buffalo Grove and nearby suburbs, still runs fewer trains and limited reverse-commute options compared with pre-COVID schedules. Metra is working with freight rail partners to secure additional time slots.
