Thieves Damage 'Little Library,' Steal Books: Buffalo Grove Police Blotter
Damages were estimated to be around $100, according to police.

BUFFALO GROVE, IL — The following information comes from the Buffalo Grove Police Department (except when noted) and court records as a record of incidents reported to police and those arrested on criminal charges, which represent accusations by the state that are often dropped or reduced.

Brandon L. Rushin, 30, of the 7300 block of S. Stewart Avenue, Chicago, is accused of driving on a suspended license, speeding, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, and was arrested at 1:27 a.m. Nov. 7, at Arlington Heights and Dundee roads. A court date of Nov. 21 was assigned.

Daniel R. Kimbrell, 28, of the 1100 block of N. Milwaukee Avenue, Buffalo Grove, is accused of endangering the life of a child, and was arrested at 3:11 a.m. Nov. 8, near the 1100 block of N. Milwaukee Avenue. A court date of Nov. 24 was assigned.

INCIDENTS
THEFT/CRIMINAL DAMAGE TO PROPERTY
A "little library" that holds books for the neighborhood association near the clubhouse in the 1000 block of Auburn Lane was reported damaged at midnight Nov. 6. The plexiglass door had been broke and books inside the library were stolen, with damages estimated at around $100.
RETAIL THEFT
An employee at Walgreens, 15 N. Buffalo Grove Road, reported at 6:03 p.m. Nov. 9, a male and female had stolen alcohol and groceries from the store without paying.
