Vernon Township Community Mental Health Board Accepting Grant Applications
Funding supports nonprofit partners delivering essential mental health, substance use, and developmental disability services.

The Vernon Township Community Mental Health Board (VTCMHB) is now accepting the final round of grant applications for this fiscal year. These grants support nonprofit organizations that provide essential mental health, substance use, and developmental or intellectual disability services that ensure critical care is accessible for residents in need.
The deadline for applying is Tuesday, December 30 at 4 p.m. Nonprofits that have not received VTCMHB funding in the past year are especially encouraged to apply. The application can be found at vtcmhb.org on the left side under “Social Service Agency Grant Application.”
“Our goal is to make sure every resident, regardless of income or circumstance, can access the support services they need,” said VTCMHB President Noelle Moore. “We encourage nonprofit service providers who have not yet received a grant, as well as those who have – so we can continue building a strong, connected, and healthier community, together.”

So far this year, the VTCMHB has awarded more than $1 million in supplemental grant funding to nonprofit organizations that have demonstrated strong, effective delivery of mental health, developmental disability, and substance use services for Vernon Township residents.
These grants have helped to expand counseling and crisis intervention programs, strengthen family and youth support services and enhance residential and day programming for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The Board continues to prioritize organizations that show measurable impact, fiscal responsibility, and a commitment to serving underserved, high-need populations.
