Police Investigate Murder-Suicide in Unincorporated Willowbrook

The DuPage County Sheriff's Office is investigating what appears to be a murder-suicide that occurred in unincorporated Willowbrook Thursday night.

According to a press announcement from the office of Sheriff John E. Zaruba, at approximately 11:15 p.m. on Thursday, sheriff’s deputies responded to a report of gunshots in the 10S400 block of Echo Lane in unincorporated Willowbrook. The caller said that a man had shot a woman.

When the deputies arrived, they found the victim and the suspect dead from gunshot wounds. The suspect and victim were in a long-term dating relationship.  

Police are expected to release additional information after next of kin has been notified.
