Woodridge Police Investigating Attempted Armed Robbery, Carjacking

Woodridge police responded to the 8200 block of Carolwood Lane in Woodridge at 4:50 p.m. on January 20, 2021.Two suspects attempted an armed robbery/carjacking, and the woman escaped unharmed. Carjackings continue to increase in the Chicagoland area, and people should be vigilant and extra aware of their surroundings.

The Burr Ridge Police Department is sharing this message to ask residents to continue to be aware of their surroundings when entering and exiting your vehicle. Anyone who observes a criminal act in progress or suspicious activity is asked to call 911 immediately and to not take any action that would place them in danger.
