2 Dead In House Fire: Grundy County Authorities

DIAMOND, IL — Two family members are dead after an early morning house fire in Diamond, according to authorities.

The 911 call for the blaze came in shortly before 6 a.m. and the Grundy County Coroner’s Office was notified around 6:45 a.m. that a person was found in an upstairs bedroom, a news release said. Another person was taken to Morris Hospital, but he did not survive, according to authorities.

The incident occurred on Crystal Lane, WCSJ reported, adding at least three people were taken to hospitals.
