One Of Joliet's Love Brothers Arrested Again, Female Victim Shoved To Ground: English

JOLIET, IL — For the fourth time since late June, 39-year-old Daybreak Homeless Shelter resident Thomas Love of Joliet found himself being kept in the Will County Jail, this time Joliet police had him arrested on charges of battery, two counts of criminal trespass and one count of violating his pretrial release order.

Long-time readers of the Joliet Patch are familiar with Patch's crime coverage surrounding Joliet's Love brothers, Thomas and Kenneth. This time only Thomas was arrested.

According to Joliet police spokesman Dwayne English, on December 20, at 6:46 p.m., the officers responded to the Riverwalk Homes Apartments at 363 North Broadway Street for a battery.

Love arrived at an apartment and demanded to be let inside, believing a family member was present, English noted. The female tenant advised Love that no such person was in the apartment, at which time Love allegedly pushed her, causing her to fall to the ground, English revealed.

Love briefly entered the apartment before leaving the area. Later, Joliet police tracked down Love a short time afterward, nearby, within the apartment complex and he was taken into custody without incident.

Officers determined Love was on pretrial release in connection with previous criminal cases. He was processed at the Joliet Police Department and driven over to the Will County Jail, English advised.

Will County Jail records show that Love spent three days in custody and then on Monday evening, following supper, he was let go and returned to the community.
