15 Shot At Halloween Party In Chicago: Police
The attack left 15 people shot, two of whom were in critical condition, police said.
CHICAGO — Fifteen people were shot — two of whom were critically injured — during a Halloween party early Sunday on the west side of Chicago, according to police.
The incident occurred around 1 a.m. in the 1200 block of South Pulaski Road in the Lawndale neighborhood, police said.
Responding officers saw a male firing into the location of the event, according to police, who said the shooter fled on foot but was taken into custody a short distance away. A handgun was found on the person and he was brought to be questioned by detectives, police said.

The victims, who were transported to area hospitals, ranged in age from 26 to 53, according to police. Among the wounded were a 26-year-old woman and a 48-year-old man who were in taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in critical condition, police said.
Multiple attendees confirmed to WLS that the event was a Halloween party.
