CHICAGO — Police are seeking the public’s help to find four men who attacked a group — killing one person and leaving three others critically injured — over the weekend in Chicago’s River North neighborhood, authorities said.

The attack occurred around 2:30 a.m. Sunday in the 400 block of North Lasalle Drive, according to police. The victims were entering a vehicle when four men approached on foot and opened fire, then fled in an unknown vehicle, police said, adding no one was immediately in custody.

The victims, all men, were taken to Northwestern Hospital, according to police, where a 34-year-old who suffered multiple gunshot wounds was pronounced dead. A 36-year-old shot in the chest, a 43-year-old shot in the back and a 35-year-old with multiple gunshot wounds were all in critical condition, police said.
