CHICAGO — Two suburban Chicago residents face misdemeanor charges in connection with a brawl that broke out in the baggage claim area of O’Hare International Airport this week.
Christopher Hampton, 18, of Maywood, and Tembra Hicks, 20, of Carol Stream were charged in the fight, which took place just after 11 p.m. on Monday, Chicago Police said. The fight, which was captured on video that has since gone viral, took place after police said a verbal altercation began between three people as they were getting off their flight.
The dispute escalated in the baggage claim area of Terminal 3 when several people began fighting. A 24-year-old woman was injured in the fight, which was captured on cell phone video. The video shows numerous people beginning to fight, while some passengers attempted to keep the brawl from getting bigger.
