With food, music and family entertainment, summertime festivals are back in a big way this year in Chicago and surrounding suburbs.
CHICAGO — This year's summer festival season in the Chicago area is on track to be the biggest in three years.
From fests featuring live music, focused on food and drink or celebrating various towns and neighborhoods in the area, the city and the surrounding suburbs offer no shortage of summertime entertainment.
And after two years of restrictions associated with the coronavirus pandemic followed by a long, dreary winter, area residents of all ages are looking forward to summertime.
