6-Year-Old, Man Stabbed While Walking In Chicago: Police
Both victims were taken to the hospital while their attacker fled on foot, police said.
CHICAGO — A 6-year-old boy and a 27-year-old man were attacked and stabbed over the weekend in Chicago’s Lincoln Park neighborhood, police said.
The incident occurred around 10:30 p.m. Sunday in the 2700 block of North Sheffield Avenue, according to police, who said the boy and the man were walking outside when they were approached by an unknown male who became aggressive and attacked the man.
A physical altercation ensued, during which the male took out a sharp object, leaving the boy with a back laceration and the man with a puncture wound to the arm, police said.

Both victims were taken to Illinois Masonic Hospital and were in good condition, according to police.
The male fled on foot towards Fullerton Avenue, police said, adding no one was in custody as of early Tuesday morning, but detectives were investigating.
