Police said 6 men and 2 women were injured in the third mass shooting of the night, which took place near LaSalle Street and North Avenue.

CHICAGO — Eight people were shot Wednesday night while aboard a party bus in the Old Town Triangle neighborhood, close to downtown, authorities said.
Police said six men and two women who had been using the service were shot near a gas station on the 1600 block of North LaSalle Street just before midnight. When officers were called to the scene, investigators said it was not immediately clear if those who were shot had been inside the party bus or standing next to it.
This was the third shooting Wednesday night with five or more people injured.
