American Airlines Flight Attendant, Woman With Dog Clash On Chicago-Bound Flight (VIDEO)
The altercation Wednesday caused a 4-hour delay for the flight going from Atlanta to O'Hare Airport.

ATLANTA, GA — An American Airlines passenger on a Chicago-bound flight from Atlanta was removed from the plane Wednesday after creating a disturbance that caused a four-hour delay. The aftermath of the incident and her removal were captured on video and posted online.
According to Michael Nash, a passenger on American Airlines flight 281 who recorded parts of the incident and put them on his Facebook page, a flight attendant and another traveler clashed with a woman over her reclined seat during takeoff Wednesday, July 5, from Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport. Things allegedly escalated when she was asked to put the seat in the upright position, Nash said. (Get Patch real-time email alerts for the latest news for Chicago — or your neighborhood. "The lady was asked to pull up her seat for take off. An FAA rule," he wrote on Facebook. "Long story short, she flipped out and attacked the flight attendant!"

Although he didn't capture video of the alleged attack, Nash claims the woman pushed the flight attendant, who then fell into him. No one was hurt in the altercation, he said.
"[The flight attendant] was shook up, but handled it greatly! It was just crazy!!" he wrote on Facebook.

In the video, the woman is heard accusing someone of throwing water at her. But Nash told CBS 2 Chicago he didn't see that happen.
The commotion, however, did startle the woman's small dog, which needed to be retrieved after it scurried from under the passenger's seat into the aisle. While American Airlines allows small pets to travel in the cabin on certain flights, the animals must remain in their carriers for the entire flight, according to the airline's policy. Service animals, though, are allowed to sit on a passenger's lap or under his or her seat.

"When I first saw the dog, I was like 'Where the hell did that dog come from?'" Nash wrote online. "Turns out it was loose under her chair. So when she attacked the flight attendant, the dog got scared and ran."
Eventually, the flight taxied back to the terminal, and the woman is seen being escorted off the plane without incident in another video by Nash. Authorities questioned Nash and some of the other travelers before the flight was finally allowed to continue to O'Hare International Airport about four hours later.
