Ariana Grande Will Headline Lollapalooza 2019 In Grant Park

Grande is also headlining the Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival in April out in Indio, California.

CHICAGO, IL — Female pop superstar Ariana Grande will headline Lollapalooza 2019, taking place in Chicago's Grant Park Aug. 1 through 4, according to Variety. While several news sources told Variety Grande has been booked, there hasn't been word on how many evenings the "thank u, next" singer will headline as the annual music festival's lineup isn't usually announced until the third week of March.

However, if you can't wait until August to see the 25-year-old award-winning songstress, her big 2019 also includes headlining the Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival, slated for the weekends of April 12-14 and April 19-21 at its usual venue, the Empire Polo Grounds in Indio, California.

According to Variety, sources told them Grande's booking Lollapalooza has been in the works for months, with discussions happening earlier than they did for Coachella. Variety added that published reports indicated Grande's team got the official invite only days before the Coachella lineup was announced, as a replacement for Chicago-native Kanye West, whose staging demands "grew too great."
