Chicago Couple Takes Wedding Photos As Wildfire Rages Nearby
A Chicago bride and groom getting married near the Sonoma County Kincade Fire took dramatic wedding pictures while sporting air masks.
SONOMA COUNTY, CA — An intrepid Chicago couple getting married at a Sonoma County vineyard just miles away from the Kincade Fire shot a striking wedding picture, complete with air masks and a smoke-filled sky.
The photo, shot by photographer Karna Roa, shows bride and groom Katie and Curtis Ferland standing in a vineyard with stoic expressions on their faces, which are partly obscured by air masks. The sky overhead is bright orange but hazy — the massive blaze was raging nearby, ABC first reported.
The wedding took place Saturday, and the venue — Chateau St. Jean in Kenwood — was ultimately evacuated Sunday, ABC reported.
