This Pizzeria Has The Best Slice In IL, Food Network Says

CHICAGO, IL — From deep dish to tavern style, Chicago is known for its diverse and tasty selection of pizza. But where can you find the best slice? According to Food Network, it's in the city's River West neighborhood.

Pie-Eyed Pizzeria in Chicago has the best pizza in Illinois, according to Food Network’s 50 Best Pizza Slices By State 2025.

Located at 1111 W. Chicago Ave., the pizza joint combines the owners' love for music and great slices. Band flyers adorn the walls of the space and each pizza pays homage to heavy metal and rock bands.

The pizzeria has racked up an impressive collection of accolades, including Chicago's Best Pizza from Chicago Reader, Best Neighborhood Grub from Chicago Magazine and Best Pizza at the 2018 Chicago Pizza Party.

While the establishment offers a wide variety of pies, including thin crust, deep dish and stuffed, it also offers a range of sandwiches, wings and salads, among many other menu items.

“I'm only in this area once a month and Pie-Eyed Pizzeria is a scheduled stop every time," a five-star Google review wrote."Big slices of delicious pizza. The pizza is always served piping hot, just the way I like it.”

Pie-Eyed Pizzeria is closed on Tuesdays, but is open 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Monday, Wednesday and Thursday, 11 a.m. to 2 a.m. on Friday, 12 p.m. to 2 a.m. on Saturday and 3 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Sunday.
