Goose Island To Parkey Bashers: Come Make 43-Yarder, Win Beer
Goose Island invites all "arm chair kickers" who believe they could've made Sunday's fateful Bears field goal to do just that, and win beer.

CHICAGO, IL — Goose Island Beer Co. took to social media Monday after Chicago Bears kicker Cody Parkey missed a game-winning field goal Sunday night due to hitting the left upright after the ball was tipped, ending the NFC Wild Card game against the Philadelphia Eagles. The Chicago-based brewery responded to all those "arm chair kickers" who've said they could've made that field goal, by giving them a chance to do exactly that; make a 43-yard field goal by clearing the uprights.
In a series of tweets (below), Goose Island said Monday, “A lot of armchair kickers on here are saying that they could hit that field goal, which we find DOUBTFUL. You’re gonna sit there on your throne of potato chips and vape pens and criticize this dude’s athleticism? GET REAL.”
The brewery is inviting all who think they could've made the fateful field goal to come out this weekend during normal taproom hours at 1800 W. Fulton Street, and try making a 43-yarder in the field goal post they're building. If you make it, you'll win beer for a year and "eternal glory," whatever that means, Goose Island promised.

Video showed Philadelphia's Treyvon Hester tipped the ball, which bounced off the upright and hit the crossbar.

So you know what we’re going to do? Build a dang field goal post in the middle of the street outside of our brewery, and all you pro athletes can come out and prove us wrong. 3/5
