Man Dies After Hit-And-Run, Shooting In North Lawndale

The man was struck by a vehicle whose driver fled the scene. A doctor said the man also had a gunshot wound to his head.

CHICAGO (CBS) — The man, who was between 25 and 35 years old, was struck by a vehicle in the 3700 block of West Douglas Boulevard around 3:40 a.m. The driver fled the scene.

The victim was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in critical condition, and was pronounced dead about four hours later, police said. A doctor said the man also had a gunshot wound to his head.
