Man Shot In Stomach Near Millennium Park: 'Like Something Off Of 'Law & Order' '
The victim, however, is not cooperating with the investigation, Chicago police say.
CHICAGO, IL — A 21-year-old man was shot in the stomach Thursday night near Millennium Park but is not cooperating with police, according to the Chicago Tribune. The victim's condition was stablized at Northwestern Memorial Hospital, where he was taken following the shooting, the report added.
The incident happened around 8:25 p.m. at the intersection of Michigan Avenue and Monroe Street, close to popular attractions, such as The Art Institute and Millennium and Grant parks. The man walked away from the scene for about a block along Monroe before collapsing on South Wabash Avenue, the Tribune reports. Chicago police taped off the shooting scene, which contained a couple shell casings and a phone charger. The area where the victim collapsed at Monroe and Wabash was also taped off, a syringe and two washcloths inside, the report added.

"This is like something off of 'Law & Order'," one bystander was heard saying after the shooting, according to the Tribune.
