Man Threatens To 'Shoot Up' Chicago Police HQ In Snapchat Video: Prosecutors

CHICAGO, IL — A South Side man is accused of posting a Snapchat video of himself in front of the Chicago Police Department's Bronzeville headquarters last week in which he threatened to shoot officers there, according to the Chicago Tribune. Lawrence Fuller, 25, was charged with threatening a public official and was ordered held on home electronic monitoring in lieu of $75,000 bail.

According to prosecutors, Fuller recorded the threatening video at about 4:30 a.m. Thursday, July 27, outside the department's administrative offices in the 3500 block of Michigan Avenue, the report stated. In the video, he allegedly is seen brandishing a handgun and saying he was going to "shoot this b---h up," the report added. Police were alerted about the video after it was posted to Snapchat, and an officer seen in the video was interviewed by investigators, the report stated. The officer had seen Fuller trying to enter police headquarters, but he didn't confront him at the time, the report added.

Fuller was arrested at a relative's home in the 3500 block of South Rhodes Avenue, and officers seized an air gun from the residence, the Tribune reports.
