Plane Slides Off Runway At O'Hare

As snow and record-cold temperatures hit the area, the mishap happened Monday morning.

CHICAGO — American Airlines confirmed that one of its planes slid off the runway amid snowy weather this morning at O'Hare International Airport. The incident happened due to icy conditions just before 9 a.m., the airline said.

No injuries were reported and 38 passengers and several crew members were able to safely disembark the plane, according to NBC Chicago.
