Pro-Impeachment Rallies Scheduled Across Chicago Area Tuesday

CHICAGO — With the House expected to vote on impeachment Wednesday, MoveOn.org is calling for pro-impeachment rallies and events across the country, and multiple "Nobody Is Above The Law" rallies are slated for Tuesday evening throughout the Chicago area.

Last week, two articles of impeachment against President Donald J. Trump were approved by a House panel. The articles accuse the president of abuse of power linked to the Ukraine scandal and obstruction of Congress, alleging that Trump "has directed the unprecedented, categorical, and indiscriminate defiance of subpoenas issued by the House of Representatives pursuant to its 'sole Power of Impeachment.'"

According to Impeach.org, these events are slated for Tuesday across the Chicago area:

• Impeach and Remove Trump with Indivisible Chicago: 5:30 p.m. at Federal Plaza in Chicago
• Southsiders for Peace move to impeach: 6 p.m. at 103rd and Western, Chicago
• Nobody is Above the Law: 5:30 p.m. at Tower Green in Western Springs
• Rally To Support House Impeachment: 5:30 p.m. at Fountain Square in Evanston
• Support the Impeachment Vote: 5:30 p.m. at the Wilder Mansion, East Elmhurst
• Impeach and Remove Trump: 5 p.m. at the Glenview Veterans Memorial
• Impeach & Remove Rally: 5:30 p.m. at the corner of Northwest Highway and Main Street, Mount Prospect
• Nobody Is Above The Law: 5:30 p.m. at the corner of Arlington Heights Road and Northwest Highway, Arlington Heights
• No One is Above the Law: 5:30 p.m. at the Naperville Riverwalk grand pavilion
• Impeachment Rally with Southwest Suburban Activists - Nobody is Above the Law - Frankfort: 5:30 p.m. at the corners of Route 30 and La Grange in Frankfort
