School Bus Driver Shot in Head While Transporting Children

The school bus driver was hospitalized with a head wound.

CHICAGO — A school bus driver was shot in the head while he was transporting children in West Garfield Park Friday afternoon.

The 31-year-old man suffered a graze wound and was taken to Mt. Sinai Hospital in stable condition, police said.

The man was driving the bus on West Jackson Boulevard near South Kildare Avenue when he was shot shortly after 5:30 p.m.
