Tim Walz, Bill Clinton, Nancy Pelosi: Night 3 Democratic National Convention Schedule
The Minnesota governor and the Harris' pick to be vice president will introduce himself to a national audience Wednesday night.

CHICAGO — For the Democratic National Convention's third night of its four-night run at the United Center, Tim Walz, the party's vice-presidential nominee, will be tasked with making a first impression on a national stage.
Wednesday's other headliner is the last person the party nominated as its presidential candidate in Chicago, Bill Clinton, who has already delivered a dozen speeches at Democratic national conventions.
Organizers said the theme for the penultimate night of the convention is “A fight for our freedoms,” combining the two "f" words that have already featured most prominently in the first two nights of programming.

The Harris campaign has aimed to emphasize that it symbolizes "not going back" and reiterated "when we fight, we win" as a call-and-response in speeches, as it looks to portray a potential second term for former President Donald Trump as a threat to democracy, abortion rights and other freedoms.
Walz, the second-term Minnesota governor and former congressman, will introduce himself to voters as a former school teacher, football coach and national guardsman. The Harris campaign has painted him as a folksy Midwesterner to balance her coastal background.

Former President Clinton is due to address the crowd two days after his wife, Hillary Clinton, urged voters to help Harris finally shatter the presidential glass ceiling.
Clinton will be joined by other Democratic heavyweights, former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries, her successor as the party's leader in the House and two men who Walz reportedly beat on the vice president's shortlist for her own vice presidential nominee — Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg, who has moved from Indiana to Michigan since running for president, and Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiro.
Also on the lineup:
- Actress and producer Mindy Kaling
- Reproductive Freedom for All President and CEO Mini Timmaraju
- Connecticut Sen. Chris Murphy
- Maryland Gov. Wes Moore
- Minnesota Sen. Amy Klobachar
- New Jersey Sen. Cory Booker
- Nevada Sen. Catherine Cortez Masto
After Tuesday night's ceremonial roll call featuring a DJ's state-by-state musical accompaniment — Ranging from Jay Z and Alicia Keys' "Empire State Of Mind" for New York, James Brown's "Get Up (I Feel Like Being a Sex Machine)" for South Carolina and Tom Petty's "I Won't Back Down" for Florida — Wednesday's lineup is expected to include more serious messaging.
Speakers will emphasize the Democratic Party's focus on issues like reproductive freedoms, LGBTQ rights and racial equity, with organizers looking to show that the freedoms of "everyday Americans" are at risk if the party loses control of the White House in 75 days.
