Bulls' Dwyane Wade Teaches Son To Drive In Ferrari; Is That How You Learned?
The NBA All-Star shared a Snapchat video of the lessons. What kind of car did you use when you learned to drive?

MIAMI, FL — Learning to drive a car as a teenager is a nerve-wracking experience. But those lessons can be even more agonizing when the hunk of steel and glass you're learning on is worth $300,000. Now add your dad recording and posting the whole thing online, and that seminal moment in most teens lives turns downright petrifying. Did we mention that your dad is a famous NBA All-Star, which means websites around the world will be circulating and commenting on the driving footage?
Welcome to Zaire Wade's week.
Recently, Chicago Bulls guard Dwyane Wade shared on Snapchat a video of the driving lessons he gave his 15-year-old son at their Miami home. The car they used was the senior Wade's red GTC4Lusso Ferrari, which carries a sticker price of around $300,000, according to Car and Driver magazine. The 12-cylinder, luxury vehicle is a far cry from the Geo Storms, Saturn Ions and Honda Civics many adults learned to drive on when they were growing up. Early on in the video, Zaire admits to a case of butterflies as he cruising along the streets of South Florida. But Wade encourages his son while at the same time reminding him that getting behind the wheel isn't all fun and games. Especially when that wheel belongs to a car that costs more than most people's homes.
"A little nervous, but it's all good. You're gettin' it," the Chicago native says in the video as he zooms in on the "Ferrari" name on the dashboard. "Who wouldn't be nervous? You see what he's driving. You gotta be nervous."

WATCH: Chicago Bulls star Dwyane Wade gives his 15-year-old son, Zaire, driving lessons:
The scene is probably very familiar to parents who have been through what Dwyane Wade is experiencing in the video. What those parents already know, however, is that the adult is almost always infinitely more nervous than the teen in these lessons. Even Wade — a pro athlete who has trained his entire adult life to stay calm in high-pressure situations — can't keep all that anxiousness inside.
"This is the ultimate trust here," Wade says before hollering back at his son, who interrupts the former Miami Heat star's narration by honking the horn. "I'm allowing him to drive my Ferrari with me outside of the car. On the driveway, you know."
The best part of the video, however, comes at the end. Father and son don't talk, but they share a wonderful moment together. Hopefully, the three-time NBA champ will remember this instance the first time an unexplained scratch pops up on the Ferrari.
YOUR TURN: Odds are pretty good you didn't learn how to drive in a $300,000 Ferrari. What kind of car did you get behind the wheel of when you were learning? Did your parents teach you or did you receive formal driving lessons? Or both? Would you have wanted to learn to drive on Ferrari? Share your memories, as well as other thoughts and opinions, in the comments section.
