2 Men Arrested On Gun Charges In Orland Park Mall Parking Lot: Police

According to police, both Sauk Village men had a handgun on them last month while police were searching their vehicle.

SAUK VILLAGE, IL — Two men from Sauk Village were arrested in Orland Park last month after police said they each had an illegal gun on them.

According to police, Deshon Alexander and Carrington Thomas were pulled over in the parking lot of Orland Square Mall on April 16 where officers were searching their car. During the search, police said Alexander was found with an illegal handgun that had the serial number filed off.

Thomas was also found to have a handgun on him with a revoked FOID card and no valid concealed carry license.

Alexander was charged with defacing the weapon and Thomas was charged with aggravated unlawful use of a weapon. Both men were also ticketed for possession of marijuana.
