Deadline Nearing For Philharmonic Orchestra's Rising Star Showcase

The showcase is designed for performance-ready music students from across Chicago's south suburbs.

PARK FOREST, IL — The Illinois Philharmonic Orchestra is accepting application submissions from all performance-ready youth musicians for the 15th Annual Rising Star Showcase.

The Rising Star Showcase is designed to offer performance-ready music students from Chicago’s South Suburbs a chance to perform before a live audience. Past IPO Rising Stars have gone on to great musical success, with many securing collegiate music scholarships. A notable number of Rising Stars have also become accomplished, professional musicians.

Applications are accepted for solos (with or without accompaniment), duets, trios, or quartets. Piano accompaniment is available upon request. Applicants must provide all contact and musical information along with a sample performance recording to be considered. A 45-minute virtual coaching session with a member of IPO will be scheduled with all students selected.
