Chicago Heights Girl With Alopecia Bullied After Oscars Joke: Report
According to the parent of the 7th grader, the girl was called "G.I. Jane" and even hit in the forehead. School officials are investigating.
CHICAGO HEIGHTS, IL — Police are investigating accusations of harassment after a 13-year-old Chicago Heights student with alopecia was bullied for her hair loss.
The girl's mother told reporters the bullying started as a result of Chris Rock's Oscars comment about Jada Smith's balding due to the same condition.
According to a report from ABC7, the 7th grader at R.I.S.E. Academy was called "G.I. Jane" and later punched in the forehead by another student.
