Lincoln-Gavin School Students Dive Into Geometry and Measurement Labs

During the month of April, the vibrant halls of CHSD170's Lincoln-Gavin Elementary School were filled with the lively sounds of students actively participating in Geometry and Measurement Math Labs. Their enthusiasm and energy were palpable, creating an engaging learning environment.

These interactive labs, a testament to the students’ enthusiasm for learning, were designed to deepen their understanding of key geometry concepts through activities aligned with grade-level standards and driven by data-informed instruction.

Each grade level participated in activities tailored to their specific learning needs. Students explored geometric concepts by identifying, categorizing, and constructing a variety of shapes. They measured and calculated angles with protractors, enhancing their precision and spatial reasoning skills.
