Wolverines and Coach Harbaugh Snatch Away Football Recruit’s Lifelong Dream
Erik Swenson, one of the top-ranked high-school offensive tackles in the Midwest, committed to the University of Michigan in 2013. But he committed to Michigan in his heart much earlier — as a 5-year-old boy. On Tuesday, after telling him last month to “get ready to play for us,” with signing day on the horizon, the Wolverines told the 6-foot, 7-inch, 310-pound kid from Downers Grove they didn’t want him anymore.
