Man Who Stole Sonic At Gunpoint Still At Large: Chicago Heights Police
Police said a man was carjacked by another man with a gun Monday night. As of Tuesday, officers were still looking for the car and suspect.
CHICAGO HEIGHTS, IL — A man who police say forced a person out of their car at gunpoint Monday night is still at large.
According to officials, Chicago Heights officers were called to 527 West 14th Street at around 10:30 p.m. Monday. When they arrived, police said a man described being approached by someone with a gun. The person forced the man to turn over his car keys and then left the home in the man's 2015 silver Chevy Sonic.
Police and state troopers searched for the suspect but had not identified him as of Tuesday evening.
