Marian Catholic's Bragging Points: See How Seniors Stacked Up

Marian Catholic makes history with two valedictorians this year. They also named 2019's Top 11 because grades were so close.

CHICAGO HEIGHTS, IL — About 263 seniors at Marian Catholic High School graduated this week, and among them earned at least $23 million in scholarships for college so far.

The Class of 2019 will go on to attend 93 different schools in 22 different states and D.C.

Another 32 students were named Illinois State Scholars. These are students who earn the honor with a combination of class rank and ACT or SAT scores, or an ACT score above 30.

Six students participated in the Amerigo Education partnership with Marian Catholic. Amerigo is an international student program.

This year, the usual Top 10 was increased to 11 students because grade-point averages were so close. And for the first time in Marian Catholic history, two students were named co-valedictorians.
